CLUBHOUSE & COURSE PROTOCOL

WGCC Clubhouse & Course Protocol

Please review and follow the Waukon Golf & Country Club Protocol's at all time.

  1. Protocol requires that all refreshments are purchased at the clubhouse or shed not brought from outside the club premises. The clubhouse is a smoke free environment.
  2. Each Wednesday during the months of April through October is Ladies’ Day. Except for the club employees or specially designated functions, men or children are not permitted in the clubhouse or on the course, including practice area after noon on Wednesday.
  3. Each Thursday during the months of April through October is Men’s Day. Except for the club employees or specially designated functions, women or children are not permitted in the clubhouse or on the course, including the practice area after noon on Thursday.
  4. Non-members are not permitted on the course after noon on Wednesday and Thursdays, unless they are a guest of a member who is responsible for all golfing fees.
  5. Every golf member and guest must sign golf registration in the club house before going on the course. Golf members must be there 15 minutes before tee time and the entire group must be present prior to signing in. Golf groups also need to sign in between rounds.
  6. Each Thursday during the months of April through October, no members of a foursome may sign the golf registry for himself or any other member of the foursome unless members of the foursome are on the club premises and ready to golf.
  7. All persons must be properly attired when on the Waukon Golf and Country Club premises. This includes men and boys wearing shirts at all times. Soft spikes are required.
  8. Please allow faster groups to play through.
  9. On Wednesday and Thursday after 12 noon golf is limited to adult club members.
  10. On Saturday after 12 Noon and all day Sunday, children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
  11. Power carts are to be driven in accordance with signs and must stay at least 30 feet away from tees and greens. In no event shall they be driven on greens, collars or tees.
  12. We encourage no more than 2 people per cart, and no more than 2 carts per threesome or foursome.
  13. U.S.G.A. rules shall govern the play of golf. Golf etiquette and courtesy shall be observed at all times. This includes good judgment in permitting faster players to play through, replacing divots, repairing ball marks on the greens and raking sand traps.
  14. All golfers are encouraged to play in foursomes to allow smoother play. If the course is extremely busy, golfers may be asked to fill in to make a foursome.
  15. Each golfer must have his or her own bag and clubs. Rental clubs are available.
  16. Stay on cart paths where available. Do not park cart with wheels off the path.
  17. The Board of Directors of the Waukon Golf & Country Club has delegated to the clubhouse manager full authority to interpret and enforce all rules and regulations. If anyone disagrees with either the interpretation or enforcement of any of these rules and regulations, he or she may appeal to the Board of Directors by contacting any Board Member and requesting to meet with the Board at its next monthly meeting; or if necessary, and at the discretion of the President of the Board, at a special meeting called by the President of the Board. The Board of Directors shall make the final ruling. Until the Board of Directors rules in the controversy, the decision of the clubhouse manager or his/her designee shall stand and be complied with. Otherwise, the clubhouse manager or his/her designee may order the person(s) to immediately leave the Waukon Golf and Country Club premises and shall inform the Board of Directors of the incident. Further sanctions may be imposed by the Board of Directors.
